FanBase is a safe fan subscription platform for creators and fans. Every post is reviewed before it goes public, every upload is checked against lists of known illegal material, every creator passes identity verification, and adult content lives in a separate 18+ section that fans must choose to enter.
Safety is not an extra on a fan platform. It decides whether fans trust you with their payment, whether brands are comfortable working with you, and whether the platform stays open for everyone. Here is how it works on FanBase.
Review before publish
Nothing goes public on FanBase without a review. When you publish a post, it is checked before fans can see it. This catches mistakes, such as content posted to the wrong audience, as well as content that breaks our rules. Review applies to every creator and every category.

Every upload checked
Every image and video uploaded to FanBase is checked against lists of known illegal material. A match blocks the upload and triggers action on the account. This happens automatically and before review.
Zero tolerance for content involving minors
Any sexual content involving minors is removed immediately, the account is closed, and the case is reported to the authorities. There are no warnings and no second chances. This rule covers posts, messages, profile images and anything else on the platform.
Identity verification for every creator
Every creator verifies their identity with a government ID and a selfie, and must be 18 or older. Verification is required before the first payout and before anything is published in the adult section. Anyone else who appears in adult content needs ID and consent on file. Our creator verification page explains the process and how we handle your documents.
A separate, age gated adult section
FanBase is a mainstream platform first. Adult content is allowed only in a separate Adult 18+ section.
| Rule | How it works |
|---|---|
| Separate catalogue | Adult creators have their own catalogue |
| Never mixed in | Not shown in mainstream categories, on the homepage or in search |
| Fans opt in | Visible only after a fan confirms their age and turns it on in settings |
| Verified creators | ID and selfie check before anything is published |
| Co-performers | ID and consent on file for everyone who appears |
| Reviewed content | Same review before publish as every other post |
This means a fan who follows a chef, a gamer or a fitness coach never runs into adult content by accident. Adult creators benefit too, because the fans who find them have chosen to be there. More about this is on FanBase for adult creators.
Reports on every profile and post
Every profile and every post has a report button. Reports go to our team, who review them and act on them. You can also write to support@fanbase.org. If you see something that looks illegal, report it straight away.
Rules everyone can read
Our acceptable use policy lists what is and is not allowed on FanBase. Copyright owners can send takedown requests under our DMCA policy. Records requirements for adult content are described in our 2257 compliance statement.
Safety for fans
- Free account with confirmation. Fans sign up with email and password and confirm with a 6 digit code.
- Secure payments. Payments go through our payment partner. Creators never see card details.
- Cancel any time. Fans cancel in one click and keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Clear refund rules. Payments are final, with exceptions for a double charge, a proven unauthorised charge or a total outage of the service.
Safety for creators
- Clearing period on payouts. Earnings clear after 7 days, which protects you from payouts being pulled back after fraud.
- Payouts only to verified owners. Identity verification means nobody else can redirect your money.
- Your audience is yours. Export your fan list and earnings as CSV any time.
- Review protects your page. Mistakes are caught before your fans see them.
How we handle a reported account
- The report is logged and the content is reviewed.
- If it breaks our rules, the content is removed.
- Serious or repeated breaches lead to account closure.
- Illegal content is reported to the authorities.
Why this matters for your income
Fans pay creators they trust on platforms they trust. Brands look at where your link points before they sign a deal. A platform that is clearly safe and clearly separates adult content makes both easier. That is why we built FanBase this way from day one. See how it all fits together on our creator monetization platform page.
What creators can do to stay safe
The platform does most of the work, but a few habits help creators protect themselves and their fans:
- Keep your login private. Use a strong, unique password and never share it, even with people who help you.
- Do not share personal details. Your legal name, address and documents never need to appear on your page or in messages.
- Watch for impersonation. If you find a page copying your content or name, report it with the report button and write to support@fanbase.org.
- Post to the right audience. Use public, members only, tier and pay per view settings carefully. Review catches mistakes, but setting it right first is faster.
- Read the rules once. Five minutes with our acceptable use policy saves time later.
