FanBase is a creator monetization platform where you earn directly from fans in five ways: monthly memberships, multi month bundles, pay per view posts, paid messages and tips. You join free, keep 80 percent of every payment, and withdraw to a bank account or crypto wallet each week.
Ads and sponsorships pay, but they depend on algorithms and brand budgets you do not control. Direct fan income is different. A few hundred fans who value your work can give you a steady, predictable income. The job of a monetization platform is to make paying you as easy as possible for those fans.
Five ways to earn on FanBase
1. Memberships
Set up to three tiers with monthly prices from $4.99 to $49.99, each with its own perks. Memberships are the base of most creators' income because they repeat every month.
2. Bundles
Offer 3, 6 and 12 month memberships at a discount you choose. Bundles bring money in up front and keep fans with you longer.
3. Pay per view posts
Any post can be sold for a single price. This works well for content that is bigger than your usual posts, such as a full course module, a live set recording or a long tutorial. Fans who are not ready to subscribe can still buy.
4. Paid messages
Send messages with locked photos, video or audio that fans unlock. Fans can also message creators they support. Paid messages are often the most personal and best valued thing a creator offers.
5. Tips
Fans tip on your profile and on any post. Tips let your biggest supporters give more without you creating another tier.

How the income adds up
Here is a hypothetical example for a fitness coach. The figures are made up to show how the parts combine.
| Income source | Example activity | Fan payments | You keep (80 percent) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Memberships | 150 members at $9.99 | $1,498.50 | $1,198.80 |
| Pay per view | 30 sales of a $12 program | $360.00 | $288.00 |
| Paid messages | 40 unlocks at $5 | $200.00 | $160.00 |
| Tips | Various | $120.00 | $96.00 |
| Total | $2,178.50 | $1,742.80 |
In this example, memberships bring in most of the money, and the other four sources add about 45 percent on top of membership earnings. You can see how other coaches set up their pages on FanBase for fitness creators.
Tools that help you earn more
- Scheduling. Queue posts so fans always see something new.
- Analytics. See earnings by source (memberships, renewals, pay per view, messages, tips) and active members, so you know what works.
- CSV export. Download your fan list and earnings whenever you want.
- Wallet for fans. Fans top up a balance once, then tip and unlock in a tap.
- Card and crypto. Fans pay the way they prefer.
Simple pricing for creators
There is no monthly plan and no setup fee. FanBase keeps 20 percent of each fan payment, and that is the only cost for creators. Our fees page compares this with other platforms, and our pricing page explains what fans pay.
Getting your money
Earnings clear 7 days after each payment. Once your cleared balance is $50 or more, you can withdraw. Payouts go out weekly to a bank account or a crypto wallet. Before your first payout, you complete a short identity check with a government ID and a selfie. See how payouts work.
Who it is for
FanBase is built for every kind of creator: musicians, fitness coaches, chefs, gamers and streamers, podcasters, artists and illustrators, educators and lifestyle influencers. There is also a separate Adult 18+ section for identity verified adult creators, kept out of mainstream categories, the homepage and search.
If you manage several creators, our agency tools let one team run several pages with per creator payout reports.
Trust and safety
Every post is reviewed before it goes public, and every upload is checked against lists of known illegal material. There is a report button on every profile and post. Fans can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period they paid for, which builds trust and makes the first payment easier.
Choosing what to sell first
You do not need all five income sources on day one. A simple order works for most creators:
- Start with one or two tiers. Get a feel for what members value before adding a third.
- Add pay per view for your biggest pieces. A full tutorial, a live set or a long guide can sell on its own.
- Open paid messages once you have regular members. Personal replies are easier to manage when you know your audience.
- Turn on bundles after a month or two. Loyal members are the ones most likely to commit for 6 or 12 months.
Tips are always on, so fans can thank you from the first post. Check your analytics each month and put more time into the sources that earn most for the effort they take. Ideas for musicians are on FanBase for musicians.
