FanBase is a creator payout platform that pays you weekly. Every fan payment clears 7 days after it is made, you can withdraw once your cleared balance is $50 or more, and payouts go to a bank account or a crypto wallet. You complete a one time identity check before your first payout.
Getting paid on time, in a way you understand, is the most important thing a platform does for you. This page explains exactly how money moves from your fans to you.
How payouts work, step by step
- A fan pays. They subscribe, buy a bundle, unlock a pay per view post or paid message, or send a tip, by card or crypto.
- Your share is recorded. You keep 80 percent of the payment. FanBase keeps 20 percent, with processing included.
- The payment clears. 7 days after the payment, your share moves from pending to cleared.
- You withdraw. When your cleared balance is $50 or more, you can request a payout.
- We pay out weekly. Payouts go to your bank account or crypto wallet in the weekly payout run.

Why there is a clearing period
Card payments can be disputed, and some payments turn out to be unauthorised. A short clearing period lets us catch those before money leaves the platform. That protects you from having payouts pulled back later, and it protects fans from fraud. Seven days is long enough to catch most problems and short enough to keep your cash flowing.
A payout timeline example
Here is a hypothetical week to show how clearing works.
| Day | What happens | Pending | Cleared |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | 10 new members at $9.99, you keep $79.92 | $79.92 | $0.00 |
| Wednesday | $40 in tips, you keep $32.00 | $111.92 | $0.00 |
| Next Monday | Monday payments clear | $32.00 | $79.92 |
| Next Wednesday | Wednesday tips clear | $0.00 | $111.92 |
At this point your cleared balance is above $50, so you can withdraw and it goes out in the next weekly payout.
Bank or crypto
You choose how you get paid.
- Bank account. Payouts go to the bank account you add in your settings.
- Crypto wallet. Payouts go to the wallet address you add. Double check the address and network, because crypto transfers cannot be reversed.
Identity verification first
Before your first payout, you complete identity verification with a government ID and a selfie, and you must be 18 or older. This keeps payouts going to the real owner of the account and protects the whole platform. Your documents are used only for verification and are never shown on your page. Read more on our creator verification page.
Know where your money comes from
Your analytics break down earnings by source: memberships, renewals, pay per view, paid messages and tips. You can also see active members. Export your earnings and fan list as CSV whenever you like, for your own records or your accountant.
Payouts for agencies
If a team manages several creators, payout reports are available per creator as CSV, and the same 20 percent fee applies. See FanBase for agencies.
Fan payments and refunds
Fans can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period they paid for. Payments are final, with exceptions only for a double charge, a proven unauthorised charge or a total outage of the service. This keeps your earnings stable. The full rules are in our refund policy.
Fees
There is no monthly plan and no setup fee for creators. FanBase keeps 20 percent of each fan payment, with processing included. Compare with other platforms on our fees page.
Common questions about getting paid
What if my balance is under $50
It stays in your account and keeps growing. Once it reaches $50 cleared, you can withdraw.
Can I change my payout method
Yes. Update your bank account or crypto wallet in your settings. The change applies to future payouts.
Who do I contact about a payout
Write to support@fanbase.org with your page handle and the payout date.
Planning around the clearing period
The 7 day clearing period is easy to plan for once you know how it works. Money from a busy weekend will be available to withdraw the following weekend. A launch, a new bundle or a popular pay per view post will show up as pending first, then cleared a week later.
A few habits keep cash flow smooth:
- Check your cleared and pending balances in your dashboard before you plan spending.
- Keep your payout method up to date so a payout is never held back.
- Download your earnings CSV each month for your own records and taxes.
- If you sell bundles, remember the full bundle payment clears 7 days after the fan pays, so bundles can give you a larger cleared balance quickly.
